As a Dutch secondary school we've been visiting Britain as part of our bilingual curriculum for more than 20 years now. Sometimes we chose the convenience of staying in a hostel but if we can, we always opt for the homestay option. We've found that contact with native speakers not only helps bridge the cultural gap, it provides the students with a unique opportunity to practice their English in a safe and controlled environment.

Although not all host-srudents combination are a perfect match...many are. And all the families are welcoming and provide a good learning experience.

We are looking to our next trip and working with Tunde and AO Homestay again.

We’ve been hosted by A&O Homestay association since 2024 and everything has been very good so far. The organization is excellent, the families are totally dedicated to welcoming our 17-year-old students with care and kindness. We’ve organized one week school stays which allow them to have great interactions with the British families, who do their best to make them feel comfortable. Our students are very eager to speak English and interact with them. And the families perfectly understand this purpose. The teachers and the driver also take great profits of this good organization and warm welcoming. We are very grateful to A&O Homestay’s families and their local coordinator, Mrs Onifade. The Lycée Simone Veil from Liffré (Brittany) will keep on choosing A&O Homestay services.
